The welcome sign at my front door will welcome you as you step onto my front porch.
Here is another word in my home - Welcome.
Welcome to my home and tea. Come and sit awhile and sip a cool glass of tea. The tea in the glass today is Black Currant Black Tea with a sprig of basil. The sun is shining and it is so peaceful in my yard. Come sit with me. Breathe a deep breath and take in the morning sunshine.
Thank you for the lovely welcome to Portland!
ReplyDeletethat is a wonderful post! :) thanks!
ReplyDeleteLove that sign! I'm never thought about putting fresh basil in tea! Does it work with other flavors too?

ReplyDeleteThat tea sounds yummy & refreshing!
ReplyDeleteI would like spearmint, please, with some traditional black tea of your choosing. I enjoyed my visit to your blog, as I always do. Thank you for logging in for the Gracious Hospitality blog-hop!

I'm coming here via the Blog Party. The tea looks so tempting and refreshing. I love the sprig of basil. Very nice touch!
ReplyDeleteIt's 12:35 AM. I just go home from a movie here in So. Cal.. I have an interesting tea recipe on my blog. Stop by for a sip.

Hi Marilyn!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog! I will need to try the Paris blend by H&S. That sounds wonderful.
I had to do a double take when I saw your name on your comment. I had not noticed your full name when I first landed here. My daughter's name is Briana Marilyn Miller. Not for long though... She will be getting married in January. With "Miller" being the 7th most common name in the US, it's not horribly difficult to find similar names... But, it's always neat!
By the way, have you ever tried Harney and Son's Chocolate tea?

While a pineapple is the traditional symbol of welcome, I can't think of anything more welcoming than an offered cup or glass of tea. Your door decoration lets visitors know they can expect gracious hospitality in your home.
