Thanks to Relyn sharing on Come Sit by my Fire
and
Christina of Soul Aperature for starting this.
It is a good thing to notice what simple things bring us delight each day.
Your roses are beautiful and the simple things list is great. I have never tried apricot pie, but it sounds good. Thanks for reminding me to delight in the simple things each day.
ReplyDeleteWe share many of the same simple things Marilyn! Life is good.

Oh, I love this post. Cherries ripening on the tree! You made me remember the first time I ever ate a fresh cherry. Jeffrey and I were in Oregon and were in the middle of one of our long, long walks. He saw a tree with branches hanging low and said, "Have you ever tasted a cherry right off the tree?" Then he picked one and popped it into my mouth. Oh. Oh my. YUM! We enjoy so many simple pleasures on those walks of ours.
ReplyDeleteYour delights are ... delightful! LOVE those roses!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I think we *did* meet at that Atlanta Expo, Marilyn, although I was quite a newbie blogger at the time! Some nice lady gave me a sample of your rose petal jelly, and that just about had to be you, right? My only confusion is that in photos of you I've seen since that time, you look younger and even hipper than I remember. Maybe it's just "good livin,'" as we say in the South!

ReplyDeleteenjoy your weekend
Not to be a total downer, but the bicycle is sadly a memorial to a cyclist who was killed right there. But I do love that in Portland there is an active bike community which makes these lovely memorials where tragedy has occurred.
ReplyDeleteAwww, the Crystal Ballroom --- Brandon went to a Feist concert there and sent live pictures from his cell phone --- a beautiful place. I love this little tour around your community. Do you live nearby?
