Recently I was asked, "are you rich?"
It took my breathe away.
"Oh no, I am not rich" I said.
We had planned for joy.
We intended to take joy, but rich - oh no.
But, yes I am rich.
I am rich in joy and love.
I am rich in friendship and family.
I am rich in home and a world of beauty.
Yes, I am rich.
Yes, you are rich, my friend! I am also rich in things money can't buy! ~Adrienne~

I think it is a wonderful thing to grasp the concept of being rich in the important things of life. I'm going to try to be thankful for all my "riches" every day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these thoughts.
The best sort of rich. I have it all. Not much money but - I have it all. Yes, I am rich too.
ReplyDeleteThis is definetly the best sort of rich to be!
ReplyDeleteI wish more people understood this.
It is a sorrowful thing to believe you are only rich if your bank statement says so!
Lovely post darling. Makes me think, I too am rich for having a blog friend like you.

Yes, those fortunate of us who have joy and love and family are indeed very rich. That is what counts!

Having good health is the most important of all riches! Without that the others don't matter.
ReplyDeleteI'll take some of the joy too....something money can't buy as it comes from within each of us.
I like to say that I am "rich in all the ways that matter." (Although, I'm not opposed to becoming rich the other way as well, ha!)
