My tree this year in the daylight.
My tree in the evening light.
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
Your branches green delight us.
They're green when summer days are bright;
They're green when winter snow is white.
O, Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
Your branches green delight us!
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
You give us so much pleasure!
How oft at Christmas tide the sight,
O green fir tree, gives us delight!
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
You give us so much pleasure!
The Christmas tree delights me.
Seeing all the beautiful decorations in blogland
has been fun; so let the holiday begin
with great celebration.
The teapot is sitting ready for your visit.
A few cookies and peanut brittle are waiting.
Come by for holiday celebrating each day over the next week.
Dear Marilyn,
ReplyDeleteOh, the Peanut Brittle sounds wonderful with some tea!
Merry Christmas.
Your Christmas Tree is delightful and so pretty. Christmas Trees have such meaning to me.
When I was a very young girl, I'd sing this song over and over...luvd it.
Still think it's a great song.
God Bless you this sweet season of the year,
d
Love your tree, and the sweet sled underneath it!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Marilyn!

ReplyDeletemarilyn....so pretty is your tree...day or night !!
ReplyDeleteand that comment above mine...do you know how to delete it ?
when you look at your own comments on your blog, there is a little garbage can in the lower left of each one...just click on that and then you can make it go away.....
you can also reset your comments page like I did and get rid of "anonymous" being an option....
ReplyDeleteYes, you need to trash that comment as Beth mentions. I moderate comments and like it better, but now I'm getting weird e-mails at times. The www can be dicey and one needs to be careful.
ReplyDeleteLove your tree - wish I could show up for a cuppa, how fun that would be.
Save me some tea, some cookies and some peanut brittle - I'm on my way over! It would be such fun to see your tree upclose and for real. My tree is partially decorated and today I decided it may be finished. It may be the 'simpler' look for Christmas I'm trying to achieve this year. Love all the cute things on yours.

ReplyDeleteOnly three days left till we put up our tree now.
Yes, the tree is real. It is a noble fir. Each year we go to the tree farm and have one cut down.
ReplyDeleteOh, I do love your tree, Marilyn! It's got a wonderful "Old World Christmas" look!
