Do you ever drive by a house all lite up, the windows so brights, and
inside people going about life?
I often wonder how is their life, it looks so perfect and so pretty.
I want to just step inside and be included in that perfect, pretty world.
Then I wonder are they just giving that image of perfection,
but really have daily trials to bear.
From the outside it looks so perfect until we touch the heart and find we are each traveling through life with our hurts, pains, and laughter.
Take time to touch the heart of someone near you and share together in love.
Happy holidays!
I've had the same feeling, Marilyn. I'm sometimes surprised at how wrong I am. I agree, with reaching out, one can never go wrong.
ReplyDeleteHi, Marilyn! Thank you for stopping by my place--it was lovely to see you! And I often think and wonder the same things about people... what their lives much be like. Sometimes it's hard to see from the outside. Reaching and spreading a little LOVE... always a good thing! Happy Weekend. :o)
ReplyDeleteThat house looks like a scene out of Norman Rockwell. In the Netherlands they have an expression: "Ieder huisje heeft een kruisje". It means every house has a cross to bear.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I pass a perfect-looking house like this, I like to imagine a matching perfect life inside. Why not? Who needs reality anyway?
said perfectly...
ReplyDeleteI know some fabulous looking homes that are filled with pain right now....
no jokes, but lets use tiger as an example for one...
Love and hugs
ReplyDeleteChristmas Blessings
you are so right. different faces, sames stories.
ReplyDeleteOh, that is such a lovely sentiment. Yes, yes, i will do that --try to touch the hearts of those around me.
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, I completely do that with lovely decorated houses. I always imagine it as so perfect and cozy inside. this pic certainly implies that, doesn't it, show or not?
I wonder too! ; ) Oh this is pretty.

I think the same way.
ReplyDeleteI love taking long night walks and peeking into windows...seeing people's paint colours, their gardens, their window treatments. I wonder too, if they are happy, and cooking a hot delicious meal inside their cute houses.
My favourites are the small, homey homes. Smaller is so much nicer.
xoxo
Annnd, yes, we ALL have our trails to bear. Dressing up ourselves and the outsides of our homes gives us some control over those trials, makes them bearable.
that is trials
ReplyDeletenot trails...depends how you look at it I suppose....!
Oh, thank you for this perfect picture of Christmas. Whatever their reality, I can paint it perfect with my imagination and your camera.
ReplyDeleteAh, yes..the perfect, pretty life. If only! lol..We can all dream.
ReplyDeleteHi Marilyn, I love to look at houses, especially at night when the windows are uncovered and the lights shine forth. No, not a 'peeping tom' just a nosey parker!! I wonder about the families inside. Do they have a happy life and is everything going well. Of course there is no perfect life, each of us has sadness and concerns at times.
ReplyDeleteWinter is definitely a time of looking inward, wondering about the days to come, hoping the approaching year will be kind.
For you I wish just good things, health being most important of all - without that nothing else really matters does it?
Hugs - Mary
