Let me introduce you to my new friend.
His name is Joey.
He is 7 months old and came into my life yesterday.
He was adopted from the Humane Society.
He isn't sure he likes it here yet.
It will take some time for us to adjust to each other.
I already love that he is a snuggler and purrs so loud.
I am sitting here with the snuggler and drinking my tea.
He is sort of the color of my tea.
Already he is bringing much JOeY for 2010.
JOeY will soon figure out that he is one lucky cat!

Oh, Marilyn!!
ReplyDeleteJoey looks JUST like Rusty! Rusty was also adopted as an adult and has been with us for about 10 years.
Congrats on your new pal .... he's purr-fect!
Hugs!
Betty :)
Marilyn first time to visit your blog..Joey will make you the best pet ever from the humane society..Over the years I have been so blessed with adopting cats..We had one that lived to be 15.The uglest kitten turned into the most beautful long haired cat you had ever seen..Had a lot of persian in him. His name was Reagan..Look forward to keeping up with Joey...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new addition. Receiving love and affection from a pet is one of life's great pleasures. It must be experienced.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful (both the cat and the fact that you brought him into your household).
ReplyDeleteWelcome JOeY!
ReplyDeleteThe sounds of the purrrrr is one of the most joyful sounds I can imagine!
Happy snuggling!
He certainly is a handsome fella - what beautiful eyes. Hope he adjusts quickly to his new home.

congrats on your new partner...what a nice thing to do.
ReplyDeleteLooks like my kittie, Ernie, who is a sweet kittie, whi, like Rose's kitty thinks all the good things are for him, including my supper.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post, and I think JOeY is lucky to have you! (And you look just lovely in that photo, by the way! I suspect your joy is showing!)

Looks like quite the content cat! I am glad you are finding Joy in your new companion!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a special kitty! Joey will settle and enjoy his new home. I got my Miss Savannah from the Humane Society and she is an especially dear kitty. My Joey (my puppy) would chase your Joey - maybe we shouldn't introduce them until my Joey learns a few more manners! Enjoy your furry, new friend!
