Come with me, step inside.
The Tarte sale on Saturday.
Tucked in a barn in the country.
There were many fun things to see, but what I like the best
is just seeing the creative displays.
Glass, yes there was glass. Can you see the cloche?
Double click on the picture for a closer look.
There were old glass bottles too.
My husband has a collection of old bottles he long ago found
digging in abandoned dumps. They can be so beautiful used
to hold flowers or homemade vinegars. The possibilities are endless.
The possibilities of sharing glass could be endless also, but
next week will be the end of the Enamored with Glass Monday series.
Come by, as there will be a glass give away.
Val, I have looked for pink glass, but not found much worth sharing.
I am still looking.

I also love glass. My greatest thrill was finding an old glass medicine bottle, hand blown (that old) while I was on a mission trip in Austria, digging a trench for a water line with a shovel.
ReplyDeleteThose displays were creative and lovely. It would be fun browsing through that barn.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed all your Enamored with Glass posts.
The barn sale looks like something I would have really enjoyed. And speaking of enjoying ... I have greatly enJOYed your glass series!
ReplyDeleteI love everything that you share
ReplyDeleteI love you
I love beautiful pieces of glass♥
OMG! Are you near Robin Bird of Birdtweets (http://robinbird.typepad.com/bird_tweets/)? She's a pal of mine! She has done quite a few posts on the Queen of Tarte.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of the bathing beauty sculpture with the bell jars.
Poor pink glass. It blushes in all it's beauty, so it hides from you.

So beautiful, I agree, so many uses for glass jars. Thanks for the inspirational tour. I can't wait till the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun place! I enjoy places like that! Did you buy one of those pretty cloches? They are getting more and more popular now!

What a charming shop, Marilyn.
ReplyDeleteOld bottles have always fascinated me, and what a nice selection you found here.
I did find an old Coca Cola bottle and an ammonia bottle when I dug up an old garden bed at the tearoom.
Thanks for showing us this gem of a shop.
I've never heard of this place, Marilyn. Thanks for the info. Looks like a fun place to visit.
ReplyDeleteThat place looks a little piece of shopping-heaven! Thanks so much for taking us along, Marilyn! I would love a pretty glass cloche... Happy Day :o) ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful series coming to an end so soon. I look forward to your next theme.
ReplyDeletethese bottles are amazing!

Ohhh, I want to go there, too! Smart (and brave) husband, looking for jewels in abandoned dumps! My in-laws live in the boondocks of Ontario and next to the local dump is a shack for free, working stuff. It's called "Tiff & Annies". Get it? Tiffany's! :)
ReplyDeleteI love glass. I collect old glass bottles, but by "collect" I mean I have 3. I will eventually add to the collection, but probably only one or two more because we are so space limited here at Casa Fabulous.
ReplyDeleteGetting to see a blog post like this one is almost as fun as getting to poke around at a barn sale myself! :-D
