Glorious Day!

Saturday was a glorious day of sunshine.  The bridge was up when
we arrived to see the cherry blossoms at the Japanese Memorial along the Willamette River here in Portland.  A boat was passing by, but I thought you would like to see what the bridge looks like when it opens for a boat to pass by.
There were families picnicking, runners running, and bicyclists biking.
The sky was so blue against the softness of the pink blossoms.

Sunshine and blossoms, the perfect spring day.
This is my Oregon postcard to you today.
Celebrate new beginnings!

Don't forget to leave a comment for the give-aways mentioned on Monday.

  1. Marilyn: We are a long way from this. It snowed last nightand we get the most snow in March- also can get it in April and yes I have seen it snow in May. It is very important we we drink the snow for water. Loved my viisit to your blog!

  2. I would have loved it if we had driven in to see the blossoms and the boats and the bridges! Saturday went a different way than planned and didn't include an excursion away from home. Maybe we can do that soon. Thanks for sharing this Oregon postcard. Even though I'm not far from you in Oregon I really enjoy seeing our area through your eyes (and camera).

  9. Your photos are gorgeous... and offer a glimmer of hope that spring is not too far behind. Our trees are not yet budding, but we have had some nice sunny days, it can't be too far behind!

  14. Your blossoms are way ahead of ours - this long, cold Winter definitely made a difference in the garden. Love the pink against the clear blue sky. Glad you are having lovely days.
