Today is the first day it feels like summer here in Oregon.
The outdoors is pulling me to come and play.
I just want to lay in the back yard and get a lovely massage,
or play eye-spy, maybe curl up and take a nap, or
sniff the flowers. Then again maybe lunch by the river would be lovely.
What calls you on a warm summer day?

Quanah said almost the same words to me last night on the phone (well the opening line of your post, anyway). Krista was up visiting for five days and it was rainy, gloomy, and cool for four of them. The sun started to peek out the day she left. I told her there was plenty of sun waiting for her down here and to enjoy it. LOL
ReplyDeleteLovely summer afternoon! I would love to take a nap just like your kitten.
ReplyDeleteGlad the northwest is warming up just in the nick of time for my visit! :-) I'm heading out to Seattle in a few more days.
wow...you've been very patient waiting for summer to show up....how do you do it ?
ReplyDeleteYour summer collage is lovely. A massage and a nap sound great. Not much entices me outside with temps in the 90's everyday.
ReplyDeleteWith temps in the 90's, sitting in the house with the air on. But on a nice summer day, sitting on the bench in the shad with my needlework is perfect!
ReplyDeleteA nice nap in the shade always sounds appealing, although today I think that could be uncomfortable if the mercury reaches 98. A little too hot for me. My favorite spot is someplace near the water.
ReplyDeleteOur temps are in the upper 90's here this week. Oh, how I would like to be somplace cool!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of a backyard massage but wow, what a great idea! Except not in Georgia for a while! ;)
