Tea in Solitude

Tea should be taken in solitude.
~C.S. Lewis

I hope you are sipping your tea this morning and enjoying
some time of solitude.

I had some time of solitude sitting in the swing with my tea,
watching the hummingbirds, and experiencing this beautiful view
of Whitewater Lake, Wisconsin.
Can you believe it, I actually had another opportunity to photograph hummingbirds.

I am home now, but my time in Wisconsin was precious.
Blogging friends, seeing some new country, having tea in solitude, and enjoying my nephews wedding.

  4. Never seen a Hummingbird-wish I could, but that lake veiw is almost as good as my Lake Illawarra veiw. Tea in solitude can be very peaceful I think.

  7. Beautiful and serene. While you were having tea in Wisconsin, I was sitting in a busy little cafe in HR having my tea. Busy! Exactly the opposite, but that's all I had time for! The next morning, though, I had tea at the CGH and it was serene. Loved this post, Marilyn!

  11. Don't you love lakes Marilyn? Just something very relaxing when looking out at calm, flat water and the different light patterns throughout the day. Oceans and the seashore are magnificent, but lakes a bit more friendly and less threatening perhaps.

Glad your trip was so enjoyable.
    Enjoy your Labor Day holiday.

    Hugs - Mary

  17. What nostalgia for me, Marilyn. The lake picture is a visual of a treasured memory of my time on Post Lake in No. Wisconsin. We would visit my Uncle Cap and Aunt Helen there. I loved fishing at the end of the dock, jumping into the lake, feeling the fish tickle my feet as I swam, and tramping through the back of his property carefully avoiding the quicksand area.
