Lan Su Chinese Garden

Pomegranates growing in the garden.
I had never seen one growing before.
On the bottom is part of the original blossom.
A banana tree grows there too.
It was a rainy day, but perfect for exploring during
a time that was quiet, peaceful, and not high tourist season.
Quite beautiful in the rain.

I was amazed at the growing persimmon tree.
It was full of fruit not quite ready to pick.

Isn't it amazing how life cycles come and go, sometimes
when we aren't looking.
A child will continue growing,
fruit continues to flourish,
we get older and the colors become
more brilliant.

    That looks like a really pretty garden - very peaceful. Your photos are lovely. I liked seeing the pomegranate on the tree - I'm happy that they are available in my local grocery store right now.

    Gorgeous! I've never seen pomegranates growing either. I love persimmons. Last year I made a cake with persimmons. I'd forgotten about that cake. Can't wait to pick some up this year. :)

    EXQUISITELY beautiful... We see these rather exotic fruits in the markets, but rarely get a glimpse of how they grow. This was a lovely post, Marilyn! :o) Happy Day ((HUGS))

    These are beautiful pictures, especially the one with the bridge, pavilion, and water lilies.

    There is a wild persimmon tree here in Newark, DE, in a small park in a suburban neighborhood. It has tiny fruit that are nonetheless quite delicious.

    Beware the unripe persimmon though; it has to be the most astringent thing I have ever tasted in my whole life!
