Anticipation

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.
Have you ever seen a plain brown St. Nicholas?
He is an antique and was used to mold paper St. Nicholas's.
Is this St. Nicholas?
or
Is this my new favorite toy?
Will he leave me something under the tree?
or
Do I find my own ornaments hanging from the lower branches?
What fun this Christmas season is.

    Your home is so cozy and festive! I loved sitting beside the fireplace and enjoying the sights of everything you've done to make it just right. And that Mr. Joey is a real character! I had such fun having tea with you and Cathy yesterday. Happy holidays, my friend.

    I have to say..the holiday are so much more relaxed since we quit exchanging gifts. I just would torture myself trying to find the perfect gift and make it all fair and even....my kids are grown...we just don't feel like we need stuff. We play games and cook and just enjoy being together. I now give away my furniture and buy thing for my grown children when I know they need something throughout the year. Sam....college fund starts now! I thoroughly enjoy your upbeat and positive posts and attitude. Happy holidays Marilyn

    The doll houses are gorgeous! What a perfect setting for the world of imagination.
