A light oolong tea sits in my cup today.
Beside the cup sits a Girl Scout chocolate mint cookie.
Different teas call for different goodies.
I love a rich date or fruitcake during the winter holidays
with a rich black tea.
Often an Asian savory, such as a steamed bun
goes wonderfully with a special oolong.
Green teas encourage me to eat a lovely salad of lettuce or fruit.
In my humble opinion a lovely piece of chocolate or
a lemon tart goes well with many teas.
What tea and goodie do you prefer?
What combination makes your mouth say yummm?
Have a warm cozy weekend with a cup of tea
and something special sitting beside the cup.
I'm not sure I know exactly what I like with each of the teas I've discovered (thanks to you!) but chocolate goes a long way in my book!

I LOVE Ginger Snaps with a good cup of Earl Grey, a habit I acquired some years ago.

ReplyDeleteDaffodils
Oh, the daffodils! Of all the beauty of your words and this beautiful image, all I could focus on was the daffodils.
Daffodils = hope. This winter will end, I am sure of it.
Thank you thank you!
I'm impatiently waiting for my GS cookie delivery. I love the thin mints and samoas.
ReplyDeleteLovely picture, Marilyn. Your happy little daffodils are a reminder that Spring is on the way.
I'm having a cup of tea and thinking of thee
ReplyDeleteLove you

I like Camomile and biscotti, almond. It just is so comforting.
ReplyDeletevery, very cool vintage tins

I love chocolate with tea; holding the chocolate in my mouth, taking a sip of the hot tea, and feeling it melt away.
ReplyDeleteAnd I must say, ginger snaps are always tasty!
First of all, I love that blue and white tea pot!
ReplyDeleteFor breakfast, a fresh blueberry scone would be great with Harrod's English Breakfast #14 (which I like to buy every time I'm at Heathrow).
In the evening, a thin slice of lemon pound cake with a cup of peppermint/chamomile tea. Mmmm.
Oooo... it's been a looong time since I ate a Girl Scout chocolate mint cookie! No Girl Scout cookies over here... LOL! I baked some scones and made lemon curd over the weekend--simple, but oh, so good...mmm... Happy Day, Marilyn ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo. All your tea and treat pairings sound yummy. I like a robust black tea with a warm currant scone.
ReplyDeleteadrienne and i saw those exact canisters yesterday in a sweet little shop she dragged me to ... kicking and screaming. ha!

I love learning more about teas from you Marilyn - and have to admit a good plain Digestive biscuit is my favorite accompaniment. GS cookies I try to stay away from - especially the choc mint, addictive!
