If you have been following me for awhile you might know I love photographing
Adirondack chairs. I found these chairs sitting in a garden overlooking the sea.
Now you can't see the sea, but just image sitting there celebrating today.
I think there will be a croquet set up nearby or maybe a book to read.
Of course there will be ice cold watermelon and pitchers of cold iced tea.
Then we will wait and watch with anticipation for the darkness to arrive.
There will be little lights shining in celebration in the sky.
Fireflies will be twinkling nearby.
Then suddenly colors will explode overhead
and there will be many Ohhh's and Ahhh's to finish the day.
Happy 4th of July
I thought I would resume Spirit Whispers this week, but for sure it will come
next Monday. Enjoy your day!

Lovely, lovely! Happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo, Marilyn. I hope you enjoy and very happy and safe 4th of July. We couldn't ask for better weather, could we?
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th Ms. Marilyn! I love your tea cup in the last post! Wow, what pretty flowers,is THAT your yard? They look great with the chairs! Thank you for having Tea with us on Thursday. You just add a touch of class to any event!
ReplyDeleteInstead of sugar in your sweet tea try this:
Make your regular iced tea. Before it cools off, dissolve 1/2 cup honey and 1Tbsp of Ginger. Garnish with lemon wedge. I love it!
I really wish that you would share more of your tea knowledge with us at Thursday's Tea. Maybe you can leave your on-line tea business address for our friends to check out? I will contact you as soon as I get the GO AHEAD on my new Tea Room. Have a happy day-Joy
Today I spent most of, sitting in the adirondack chair my husband made for me, doing my embroidery and watching the bluebirds go in and out of their house feeding the babies. So comfortable and relaxing. Hope you enjoyed your fourth!
ReplyDeleteA lovely 4th of July photo :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy celebrations.
Happy Fourth, Marilyn. Such a pretty setting and, alas, I will not be seeing it this year. Quanah and Erin are coming to us this summer rather than us going to them. So - I won't be around. But I DO have the ocean on my dance card. August will see us somewhere on the Central Coast. I can hardly wait. It's cool, breezy, and uncrowded.
ReplyDeleteI love your photo and those great looking red Adirondack chairs.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely 4th of July celebration.
Bet they're comfy with the cute striped cushions too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful roses, aaah! I can almost smell their perfume.
Hope you had a great day.
Mary X
What a great photo to celebrate the Fourth!
ReplyDeleteI love Adirondack chairs too -- my cousin and I were talking about them this week at the lake, saying we wished we had some, but whenever we've sat in them, we can't get up! Our center of gravity gets WAY off center!
