Little House on the Hill

 A silly painting for The Dollhouse Project for September.

As a young girl I use to draw ladybugs in their
adventures around home.
I haven't pulled out my paints for a very long time;
so it was fun just to play a little.
I hope you just enjoy this playfulness of the ladybugs
having tea below the house on the hill.

What are you doing this week to play?

  3. You are such a dark horse dear Marilyn - hiding your amazing artistic talent until now! Wow, I love this painting - it's really beautiful. The little ladybug tea party is adorable, right down to their cute little shoes.

    Well done - I see a new career ahead!!!

    Love, Mary

  4. Love your little Ladybugs! I'm not sure what I'm doing to play this week. I just got home from a few days in Southern California so I'm trying to regroup and settle down to life at home again.

  5. Oh, this painting/drawing is sooo incredibly sweet, Marilyn! Wonderful you've got your paints out again...Love how you rendered the sky! And I would love join that ladybug tea party! I must remember my pretty shoes. ;o) This week I'm painting too... a new canvas in the works, as well as last exercise for that creative workshop I've been doing. In a very good creative flow just now. Happy Day ((HUGS))

  6. Marilyn, this is enchanting! Who knew? I see a new career as a children's book illustrator, I think!

    No play for me this week -- my office right hand had her last day today. Any party I was thinking about is over...

  9. For play I have been in the pumpkin patch and already carved an early pumpkin jack-o-lantern and roasted the seeds. Wore devil horns around the house today. Hey, you might have a children's book there with those cute ladybugs as the main characters!
