Spirit Whispers

God is in the ordinary.
God is in the everyday.
We can notice God and listen
in the growth of the tree or of the flower.
In the rising of the morning sun,
in the stars at night,
and in the moon,
God is there.

This was taken loosely from the book,
Listening for the Heartbeat of God
by J. Philip Newell

  1. I had the pleasure of being at the beach the past few days, so I definitely noticed God in the ocean, the waves, the laughter of children on the beach, the breeze softly blowing into my room ... I love being at the beach *after* Labor Day!

  5. I love dahlias but have never been able to grow them here - too hot and humid I guess. We had many in my garden in England - some had blooms as huge as giant sunflowers and the colors were stunning. Is this beauty in your garden?

Wonderful words - thank you for sharing with us Marilyn.

  7. One of the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen -- and one of the loveliest verses.
