The Dollhouse Project

I knew my Dollhouse Project for October had to involve a pumpkin.
I wanted a scary house in black sitting on my porch.
Since it was my first time to paint on the pumpkin
it was a bit messy; but I decided that just made it more scary.

Are you decorating for Halloween?
Do you like scary things?
Have you ever seen a BatCat?
Joey's really humiliated and wouldn't open his eyes,
but he still sends Happy Halloween thoughts your way.

Whatever you are doing to celebrate,
enjoy the weekend and play~

  1. Excellent first effort, Marilyn. Do you have the pumpkin wrapped in a netting fabric?

  4. love your bat cat (!) and your haunted house pumpkin. How am I celebrating the weekend? ...wondering whether my Halloween tea will take place tomorrow or not... this early snowstorm is simply crazy!

  5. Poor Joey :-). I actually think the pumpkin has a surreal quality that makes it very artistic. This is my first visit to your blog, so I took some time to browse through your earlier entries. I'm so glad I did that. You've created a great spot for your readers to visit and I really enjoyed the time I spent here. I'll definitely be back. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary

  6. Joey makes the cutest bat! I used to really decorate for Halloween, but since there are no kids around anymore, I just decorate for fall, for Ken and I.

  7. Oh, Joey...how cute you are as the BatCat! This is too sweet! I will have to show this to our Charlie ;o) No big Halloween plans here, as I have a cold and laying low at the moment. I didn't even get out my Halloween candles yet! :o/ Happy Halloween, Marilyn ((HUGS))

  9. I like your veiled pumpkin.

I decided to do a Halloween light this year. I only have my glass pumpkins out in my living room and some sugar pumpkins and Indian corn on our porch. Maybe I'll have more time next year.

  10. Dear Joey,

Mom just made me wear a collar that looked like bones. (I think it was one of her bracelets.) Not too bad this year, she didn't even take pictures. Don't feel bad about the bat wings -- you're still a youngun, but when you get older like me, eventually the people moms chill out a little in the clothing department. A little. They never forget altogether. I think you look great, and at least she didn't make you dress in a pink angel outfit. THAT was humiliating! (By the way, the verification word is "Imprisiona" -- perfect!
