Shall We Chat?

Recently I walked through a greenhouse and on seeing these two orchids
I just knew they were chatt'n up a storm.
Tell me, please, what are they saying?
Are they chatting about the day?
Or about plans for the new year?
Or maybe, just maybe they are trying to decide what
their words will be for 2012.
What do you think?
Are you picking a word for 2012?
Mine is soon to be revealed.
I will be away making plans for the new year tomorrow,
but then the secret will be out on Friday.
Please do share your word too, if you decide to play along.
A word for the year can definitely be something special for the new year.
You never know where it will take you.

I do have a word for the new year and will reveal mine on the first. I'm also posting to ask other blog friends if they will be choosing a word!

  4. I think they are planning to have tea - and maybe they plan to invite you! I've not 'done' a word over the past years but one is constantly coming to mind. I think it will be my word for the New Year. I'll reveal it soon, too. Your words have always inspired me - I'm following your example, my friend.

  5. Yes, indeed, Marilyn. There will be a word. My 2011 words was focus and it was a successful choice. I hope my 2012 word has a degree of success as well.

    Blessed New Year to you,
    Annie

  9. I think I will choose a word this year as well, as you know I have really enjoyed your word-of-the-year. Our friend, Rainy, has selected a very interesting word this year. I'm trying to come up with just the perfect word, but so far haven't discovered it! Looking forward to yours!

  11. Love the image of these two orchids "chattin' up a storm" (you've obviously got some southern in you there, Marilyn!). They're so flamboyant, I think they were gossiping about the other orchids!
