Throughout the winter my focus will return to light.
I am encouraging myself to notice light wherever I go.
Are you noticing light?
Did you see the amazing moon last night?
There are touches of light all around us,
but so often on these days of darkness we forget to notice.
So I encourage you this week to notice the light.
It might be in a candle or the flame on a gas stove
or maybe a flame in the fireplace or that gorgeous moon.
Take time to notice and it will make your heart sing.

ReplyDeleteSo true! It was extra light outside yesterday afternoon (unusual for this time of year here), and I was so happy to see a *lighter* shade of gray outside, ha!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
Dh and I did notice the moon! It lit up the whole sky, so we could see the clouds in the night sky.
ReplyDeleteI received a really nice night-light/scented candle warmer for Christmas. It creates some really interesting patterns of light on the walls in the evenings.
Yes such an amazing moon indeed.
ReplyDeleteI always look for the light.
Always.
Even after their darkest hours birds still continue to sing in the morning.
Love and hugs

I love light...all sorts of light! Light makes me smile, especially a beautiful sunrise such as I experienced this morning...
ReplyDeleteGorgeous moon Sunday -- I was at our wine tasting and it came up over a shed in the field. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteTo Know The Dark
ReplyDeleteby Wendell Berry
To go in the dark with a light is to know the light.
To know the dark, go dark. Go without sight,
and find that the dark, too, blooms and sings,
and is traveled by dark feet and dark wings.
