One more peek into my portfolios.
It was so fun to look back at what I once created.
There are three different portfolios.
The two on top in the bottom right picture, I made.
The other is the typical black leather.
Each holds memories for me from
fashion design, to sweaters I helped develop for Jantzen,
and different collages I made throughout the years.
I will show a collage or two at a later date,
but thought you would like to see a sampling
of illustrations.
The rose print is the inside of the middle portfolio.
It was a fun time and a very creative time.
Creativity is still in my blood, but often I go different directions.
What do you like to create?

LOVED seeing these glimpses of your work, Marilyn--you have a nice eye for details! Those sweater designs are wonderful. Creating is in my blood too, has been since childhood. A day without creativity of some kind feels very off to me and I want to do the day over... LOL... Right now I am painting on canvas a lot, as well as doing paint/mixed media. I also love fiber arts. And make jewelry for my Etsy shop. I like sparkly things. ;o) Look forward to seeing more from your portfolios. Happy Weekend ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteFabulous indeed and I love your new tea kettle.
ReplyDeleteI love you

Marilyn, you never cease to amaze.........your designs are fabulous. Was it a dream job being able to be part of a company such as Jantzen, whom I recall with affection - always wore their swimsuits as a girl, they were the best available in England then, but not sure we had their sweaters.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I've gone in many different directions to feed my creative soul over the years. Dressmaking, sewing home decor items, designing and making silk lampshades, painting/decoupaging terra-cotta pots. Working in commercial art and advertising for many years was wonderful, learning to design with type and artwork the old way on the board, some calligraphy and airbrush retouching - all skills which have now been obscured by the computer.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful work - you are truly talented.
Love, Mary
Beautiful! I like to create fiber art scarves, jewelry, and paper crafting. Quite a list...
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun thing to do...I love looking at all my old scrapbooks...it may be just the day to do that today!Another snow day for us. Happy weekend...xo

ReplyDeletePrecious works Marilyn, how pretty! I enjoy going through the scrap books that I've created and no longer do. Now life is filled with embroidery and crazy quilting. It's hard to say what my next passion will be.
ReplyDeleteI love that you have these visual reminders of past creativity which have no doubt informed your current creativity!
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I love is seeing all these new parts of you! This is quite wonderful -- love how you have them in "portfolios!"

You have so much creative talent, past and present - I love your portfolios.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to get back into sewing and perhaps paper arts, but finding the time between all the usual daily commitments is tricky.
Beautiful! And is that a peek of a daffodil I see there? Love seeing your work. Jantzen was blessed to have you!
