Roadside Attractions

Now you would think that as we drove through South Dakota today
we would have stopped to see the Badlands.
No time to make that stop, must keep driving.
But, oh yes! - We did stop at the Wall Drug Store
to take a picture of the Traveling Teapot and then in
the afternoon at the Corn Palace.
Have you heard of these roadside attractions?
Our children were young when we drove through here another time.
How fun to see these crazy roadside attractions once more.

  1. We were there a few years back - I bought a little wooden toothpick holder for my bag from Wall Drug - still use it, ha! ha!

Where are you headed? Somewhere special by chance! At least it looks dry there.........and I see you were ready with the tea pot, love it!!!!!!

  6. Oh, I've been there. It's such a hoot, isn't it? I did make it to the Badlands, though. And, now am dying to get back with my camera and tripod.

  8. Oh yes!! I've been to both of these places when I was 13 and our family traveled across the country, my dad pulling a camper for the first time. What a fun memory you have inspired! We saw the signs for Wall Drugs for miles and miles, so of course had to stop. We did make it to the Badlands too!
