Experience Tea

Last Friday evening a group met for WuWo Tea Ceremony.
It was a special evening of wonderful teas, food, and friendship.
We had a special guest, Shuiwen of Floating Leaves in Seattle.
Shuiwen shared with us her passion for tea
with a tea tasting of Baozhong Oolong teas recently brought back from Taiwan.
From Shuiwen I learned that tasting and drinking tea is a time to savor the experience.
Savor the fragrance, the appearance, and then the flavor.
Shuiwen's stories of purchasing and drinking teas with the farmers was pure delight.
Each of the teas just tickled my palate and reminded me of why I love
these beautiful teas from Taiwan.

  1. Looks like you had a lovely time. What is the background of the WuWo Tea Ceremony? Do you know where it originated and some of the story behind it? Just curious every time I read a bit about it.

  2. Food and friendship in this way is very special. I've enjoyed such a time with a similar group of overseas friends who are living in my city in England.

  4. Another of those amazing tea times - I'm envious!

I was enjoying 'bush tea' again though - it just seems right for gulping on those chilly morning game drives....along with a couple of healthy oatmeal flapjacks, and once, freshly baked scones with jam, only the Devon/Cornish cream was absent!! to a bad way to enjoy a cuppa when elephants, giraffes and such are looking on.......from a distance!

What a wonderful collage of your special teatime with Shuiwen and friends. I'm sure you all had an amazing time tasting wonderful Taiwan teas.

I hope to visit Portland in the near future. Beautiful tea friends and lovely scenery.....my kind of place.
