Tea this Week

Tea enjoyed this week was a gift from a Kentucky friend.
Appropriately it is an Elmwood Inn tea, which is also located in Kentucky.
This was a lovely black tea, just perfect for my early morning pot of tea.
It has just a hint of smokiness so nice in a black tea.
This morning it sat in a newly acquired teacup found on etsy.com.
The cup says "Spode's Tower" Copeland, England.
The cozy, also, made in England, was found several years ago
at an antique market in a village in the Cotswold's.

How are you enjoying your tea these mornings?
Is it in a special cup?
or maybe a gift from a friend?

  1. Love your red transferware cup to go with your teapot!
Today I'm sipping Simpson & Vail's Lemon Jade Green tea in a clear glass Bodum mug. It fits my mood today.

  4. I am so glad you are enjoying the tea. It is still iced tea weather here in Kentucky, but the last two mornings I've enjoyed cups of Harney Queen Catherine Blend.

  5. Enjoying the very same tea you are ---- SO delicious! I've been sharing with my son who loves it too. The container is rapidly declining.

  6. Oh, how nice, this tea... And LOVELY tea cozy, beautiful find! This afternoon I'm drinking an orange blossom earl grey tea--very fragrant! My cup is a favorite--a rose/floral Royal Aynsley pattern. :o) Happy Weekend, Marilyn ((HUGS))

  7. I have enjoyed this same tea (and I suspect it was from the same Kentucky friend!). Your new teacup and saucer set is so pretty against the backdrop of the vintage cozy.

  8. ..........and don't you love pyramid teabags, they seem to brew better if you're doing bags rather than loose. I recall my dear mother would never, ever use teabags - always brewed in her dear little teapot!

Very lovely tea cozy, English flowers for sure. The embroidery is simple but so pretty, similar to what I used to do as a child - I still have a tray cloth I did - must dig it out and use somewhere!
