A Rose is a Rose

The garden is blooming roses today.
The garden is shining with the sweet fragrance sitting there.
When the roses bloom my heart does sing.
I walk through the garden snipping a bloom or two.
Oh to be surrounded in their beauty
and to feel the silky softness of their petals.
Can you just imagine laying in a bed of rose petals?
Being embraced by the scent?
We can dream together in this garden of roses.

  1. Roses are so beautiful, I have several rose bushes in the yard including the wild roses, and the scent is intoxicating! Can't wait for mine to bloom!

  2. Your roses are all so beautiful. My first little bud started to open today. Roses are one of my favorite things about spring and summer.

  4. I Picked red Knock Out roses today - there are hundreds of blooms out now on those huge bushes, I pruned somewhat but now find one is supposed to cut them back to 12 inches above the ground in early Spring! Oh well, next year I'll be a better gardener!!!

Love your old fashioned pink one and the white single wild rose - but of course all are beautiful and I'm sure must perfume the garden.

    Love, Mary

  5. Very beautiful, Marilyn. And a lovely job of photographing them too. You obviously know "the secret" of doing so. :D

  7. Oh, how gorgeous! Of course I would love this since I dearly love roses! Headed out of town for a few days and just went out to check my roses before I go. The 'Tea Clipper' has 10 little buds showing color--hope at least a few of them wait until I get home to bloom.
