I just love this time of year with all the beautiful fresh fruit in the market and in the garden.
Oregon has wonderful berries, so a'pickin I have gone.
Blueberries and Marionberries are the treats of the day.
In the garden there are beets, squash, cucumbers, and the beginning of tomatoes.
What local produce do you find in your part of the world?
What are you enjoying?

Oh yes, fresh fruit are the best, and healthy.
ReplyDeleteLook at those colors! I'm a Michigan black cherry girl. The season is short but I max it out!
ReplyDeleteI love all the fresh fruits and berries and veggies that are available at this time of year! It's what makes summer one of my favorite times of year. Right now I wish I could reach right through the screen and grab a handful of your blueberries.
ReplyDeleteI love this time of year, too!!!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks so yummy Marilyn! Right now the berries are coming in, black berries, strawberries, mulberries, all here, and so good!
ReplyDeleteDELICIOUS! I just posted about making apricot butter! :o) We've been enjoying apricots, nectarines & peaches from the market (these are imported, as they don't grow well here). We're picking our own raspberries & blackberries at the moment, as well as radishes & salads from our little veggie patch. It's been so wonderful having a real summer, digging in the dirt and growing & picking our own... and best of all eating it! Happy Weekend, Marilyn ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying Michigan blueberries on my oatmeal every morning. Although I didn't pick them. They were 4 pints for $5 at the produce/fruit market. I love this time of the year too for fresh produce and fruit.
ReplyDeletePeaches are probably ready in the Sandhills area south of here - I'll be looking for them at the State Farmers' Market tomorrow. Most fruits come from other states currently as our strawberries, blueberries etc. are over. We buy fresh berries every week - blues, blacks, raspberries, strawbs - all for our daily breakfast with yogurt or cereal.
ReplyDeletePlenty of locally grown veggies though - I'll be piling the tomatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, corn etc. in my basket tomorrow.
Happy weekend Marilyn.

We are blessed here in our part of Oregon! This is my favorite season because of the fresh fruit and veggies.

I remember the blueberries we bought in Oregon and Washington, so yummy!
ReplyDeleteI am planting a garden September 1. It will be the first time I try to grow food in the desert.
I'm getting tomatoes, blueberries, corn, okra and peas from my dad's garden. Love the bounty of summer!
ReplyDeleteDelicious looking fruit Marilyn! I've never heard of Marionberries.
ReplyDeleteLooks so healthy and delicious! I love blueberries and peaches. We are missing the fresh fruits and veggies of Paris (yes, there is some decent stuff here, but not quite as fresh or as plentiful - we have to look harder to find it).
ReplyDeleteZucchini galore. And tomatoes and sweet corn are coming into season... nothing like summer's bounty!
