Summer Daze

Summer daze are a time to play.
Run through the sprinkler, get all wet.
Laze in a hammock, take a nap.
Drink liquids, iced tea is the best.
Slurp plenty of snow cones, striped in multitudes of colors.
Move slowly and enjoy, savor each day.
Soon the sun will go behind the clouds
and it will be time for school and work.

Enjoy summer daze, savor and delight!
What can you add to the list of the delights of summer?

  1. This is adorable. Bet you can't wait till a little boy you know is old enough to go play there!

  2. This photo looks very familiar! Two days this week I took my grandchildren to the sculptured water fountains at our city's civic center. They had great fun! I got my toes wet, but that's about all! ;-)

  3. Catching fireflies! My great nieces were here for a quick visit and they delighted in catching lightning bugs. My joy increased when the youngest told me the lightning bugs were shaking their heads 'yes' when she asked if they liked their new home (a plastic cup with lid). It's a catch and release plan, so we're all happy!

  5. I love your list Marilyn, I would add sitting on the wooden swing in the shade listening to the birds and feeling the breeze. Pure Heaven!

  6. What a fun water playground for the kids! I am enjoying the summer. I'm with you on the iced tea! The pool, kids visiting, fresh produce, all the flowers, and the long light filled days.

  7. Your photo today screams summer, love it. What I would add, "lay on the beach and listen to the lapping of the waves."

  8. That is sweet... and so is your list, Marilyn! :o) It's been very warm & summer here too, so we've been indulging in some ice cream. Our waistlines are not thanking us though... LOL! So great to catch up with you having been away from blogland some days. Happy Weekend ((HUGS)) **P.S. Now posting from my new blog: http://www.lifeofjoy.typepad.com/ **
