Teapot Totems

Recently there was an outdoor art show nearby, called Cracked Pots.
Side note: my live in gardener was the one that suggested the name to them.
All the vendors use recycled materials.
A lot of the art is garden art and I particularly took note
and enjoyed Teapot Totems.
They were so happy and colorful,
they just made my heart sing.

Isn't it fun to discover something you haven't seen before that just makes you happy?
What have you found recently that makes you happy?

  2. Maybe I need to look again at some of the cracked teapots I see at the thrift stores. Going to the big city this weekend and just might need to stop in at a few! Very cute.

  3. Your live-in gardener should go into marketing!

What a fun show -- I really love seeing the pots used in different ways. And yes, that makes me happy, too.

What else has recently made me happy? This is a bittersweet happy -- I'm not happy that my next door neighbor is moving to Portland next week; but I'm glad that after so many moons of being neighbors, we recently got to know each other even better and I feel like now I have TWO friends in Portland!

  8. What a fun art show using teapots, teacups and other pottery that have found usefulness and beauty after becoming cracked. I enjoyed seeing the pictures. It made me happy yesterday to find a 53 piece of Limoges China, which includes a chocolate pot with 4 cups and saucers, a teapot with matching sugar and creamer, and teacups and saucers, and other dinnerware pieces. At one time it was service for 12, but now it only has a complete service for 5. No matter, it made me happy!
