Cabin Chic

Monticello Antique Mall is having their Autumn show right now.
Walking into the displays I felt like I was stepping into a mountain cabin.
It was a bit rustic, cowboy boots and furs, lanterns and jugs.
Double click on each photo for a closer look.
There is a lot to see in each photo.

Seeing what is trending each season is always fun with this show.
In the Spring it was the color yellow that popped.
For Autumn it felt like cabin chic.

Another show this coming weekend.
It will be interesting to see if the trend holds true.

  1. Thank you for taking us to Monticello. The two yellow glass pieces in the window caught my eye as soon as I saw the photo! I may have to scoot over there this weekend.

  3. Wish I lived there! I did just find an antique mall up by us, and spent quite a bit of time there. I could have spent a fortune.

  4. Love the big scale in 3rd pic from bottom, and the large balls of what look like rope or twine in third from top. Spy lots of blue Ball jars too!
If those grey cowgirl boots are size 10, I want them!

Did you treat yourself to something nice?

    Happy weekend - Mary X

  5. Love the show effect, of being super-saturated, when you walk in. :-) It must have been so much fun, to try to isolate individual items, even as you are almost being over-whelmed.

It certainly would get one in the mood for Autumn decorating!!!

  10. Such fun and pretty displays! I love antique malls! We have nothing like them here, so I miss getting to one occasionally! It's a treat to get to one while Stateside with my Mom or Sister. Thanks for taking us along, Marilyn :o) Happy Days ((HUGS)) P.S. From this week I’ll be taking an extended digital sabbatical due to health reasons. But I hope to be around when I can.

  11. My husband and I recently spent a day in the north Georgia mountains, and an antique mall there was almost entirely in "cabin style" furnishings and doodads. Not my usual style, but I could indeed picture myself dolling up a cabin with bears and wooden plaques -- and teawares, of course!

  12. How fun! Beautiful displays. Interesting to see how they interpret "cabin" living.

  13. The displays are stuffed full of interesting items, but I'm sure well thought out beforehand. The notes of Autumn are very subtle and I like that rustic theme. I would like those old weighing scales and the bell jar (full of apples).

  14. Oh what fun! Good thing I wasn't there - I'd be figuring out how to get some of the treasures home in my luggage! :)
