The view from my breakfast window this morning.
Yes, the Christmas lights have returned.
The hummingbirds are thrilled,
as it lights and warms their sugar water.
Very unusual for us here.
Snow does delight.
We had about 3 inches of snow and more
expected later today.
I am thoroughly enjoying the view.
Soft hush of the snow
Footprints on the covered walk
The beauty enchants
Hummingbird delights
Sitting, Sipping in the light
Red, Green, Blue so warm
What a great idea! Except that our hummers have left for the winter...but I like the idea of red Christmas lights by their feeders. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteI love the snow! I'm sitting here watching it come down - again. On the day 'they' said it wouldn't snow! Bring it on - I'm ready! Lots of tea and cozy afghans and good music. I'm ready. Love seeing your lights on the hummingbird feeder. Great idea!

So pretty! Y'all got more snow than we did and managed to stay out of the national news. Good job!
ReplyDeletePretty snow. It fell here during the night and for a few hours this morning, but now the sun is out and it's all melted.
ReplyDeleteWe use Christmas lights to keep our lemon tree alive in the winter. What a great idea for the hummers.
It's difficult to think of snow and humming birds in the same sentence.
ReplyDeletei find snowy scenes so beautiful
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea for warming the water -- and pretty, too! I can't wait to hear what little D thinks of the snow!
ReplyDeleteThe humming birds must be delightful to see. I hope you're keeping warm as you watch the snow scene from your window. I'm sure the Spring flowers will be fine under their blanket of snow and something to look forward to when the snow melts.
ReplyDeleteYou are having more snow than we are! For us, there's a lot of wind and wet weather at the moment.
ReplyDeleteSnow for you...and such a treat for the hummingbirds..Christmas lights! I noticed a little hummingbird flying around our place all winter long...our neighbours feed it but I am worried as the neighbours are gone and it is very chilly out these days. Just put on the kettle..it is teatime and I will think of you as I enjoy. xox
ReplyDeletei love love love that you are getting hummingbirds. oh how i miss them !!!
ReplyDeletethe snow….whatever…LOL
Enjoy the snow, Marilyn... that little bit is always pretty! Hope you'll not be hit by any ice, as I was reading places out West there have been hit by nasty weather. Keep well and warm! ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteGlad you are cozy in your home! Looking forward to Spring though!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
I hope you are staying safe and under these wicked winter conditions!
