Crocus to delight the eyes.
My Aunt Arlene's delphiniums are coming up.
Daffodils galore!
Just a glimpse at what is happening in my garden this week.
Really what's happening here is just smiling at Spring's first peeks.
Oh and cleaning the book shelf.
The books were tucked in every nook and cranny.
Did you know I have a book addiction?
Some books I have a hard time passing on for they remind
me of losing myself for a little while in mystery, romance,
tea, how-to's, spiritual journeys, and children's delights.
But passing on I must do for the shelves just overflow.
I found two of one book and will announce a give-away tomorrow.
Stay tuned! In the meantime pick up a book or go searching for Spring.
Are you reading a good book you can recommend?

Oh, jealous of your springtime beauty! Our grounds are still snow covered, but it is melting a little at a time. If/when spring happens it will be a most welcomed sight! I'm finally reading a Fine Romance and I also have The Traveling Tea Ladies Death in Dallas sitting on my desk waiting in the wings! Enjoy your glorious spring show!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see the color that is happening in your garden, all I see here on the east coast is white-white-white. And I am a book junky too.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for my daffodils. I finished Laura Child's newest book yesterday, Steeped in Evil. Haven't started another yet today. Enjoy your self, either in the garden or in a chair with a favorite book.♥♫
ReplyDeleteSounds like the spring cleaning bug has hit you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing a little taste of springtime! And yes, I am liking the new cozy mystery I started this week called "Cookie Dough or Die." I think I'm going to like this series!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely are those bright crocuses. I'm noticing more and more signs of spring as I go for my walks in the neighborhood. Such a welcome sight.
ReplyDeleteWe do have a few daffodils blooming. I am SO ready for spring flowers.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm jealous!! I can't wait to see spring flowers again, but with over two feet of snow in the front gardens I don't see that happening for awhile! I have read some good books lately, The Bone Garden, and Safe Haven, and also the Grace Chapel series of books. Very good.
ReplyDeleteOh, these shots of spring really woke up my winter-weary eyes this morning! I like to think this will soon happen here too. VERY fun with your book giveaway, Marilyn--how lovely, and how generous! At the moment, for Lent, I'm reading Mercy in the City. It's in the sidebar at my blog. A loose blurb the book could be that's it's all about doing good work for others on God's behalf. :o) Happy Weekend ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteYour springtime garden photos are lovely. Yes, I too suffer from book and magazine addiction. I'm getting bags of magazines ready for giveaway right now. ☺
ReplyDeleteI remember this from past years and it hardly seems fair as it has snowed all day here and I am freezing so I am ready to go put my thick ancient but warm bathrobe on over my clothes.
ReplyDeleteHope you knew I was kidding about "hardly seems fair".
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading a great book the School of Essential ingredients by Erica Bauermeister
ReplyDeleteBeautiful 'lellow! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI just finished a fabulous book called Magical Journey by Katrina Kineson -- just bought two for birthday presents. It's a memoir that is so beautifully written. I'm going to do a post on it eventually. Just got The Goldfinch for book club. MANY pages! I must start now and read fast!
Love your flowers that are announcing the soon arrival of Spring! I recently read Tea With Emma by Diana Moody on my Kindle. It's Book One of The Teacup Novellas - a delightful, lighthearted story of a young gal who started a tea room after the style of Jane Austen. Fun to read. Now I want to read the next books.
ReplyDelete~Adrienne~
PS...Loved 'The Goldfinch' and am now reading Paul Auster 'Winter Solitude'. I have always enjoyed his writing. Have you read May Sarton 'Plant Dreaming Deep'? If not, I have a feeling you would love it.. ;)
