In my part of the world, Oregon, April is often grey skies and drippy wet.
Today is one of those days.
So out come the flowers and a candle is lit to chase the grey away.
A lovely aged puerh tea is being sipped.
This week on another slightly drippy day I took a walk in a friends garden.
She has planned the garden to attract wildlife and we weren't disappointed.
In the quiet of the garden a hummingbird visited us.
It took a drink of delight and then oh to soon was gone.
I just know if I was a hummingbird or butterfly this garden would be my delight.
As it was, it did my heart well to walk with a friend in her garden.
What do you do on a grey sky, drippy day to lift your spirits?
I nest on drippy days -- unless I have to be out. We have plenty of them here and can't nest all the time! But those ARE good days for photography when the light is more diffused. As you photo shows!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers sustain us through the grey days - and the grey days keep the flowers fresh and vibrant far longer than in the sunshine. It's a win-win.
ReplyDeleteA cup of tea and a good book, or a little puttering helps fill these rainy, grey days. Lovely flower photos. These will be soaking up all the moisture.
ReplyDeleteYesterday was VERY gray, drizzly and cold--almost wintry! April can be a mix here to, so sunny days in between are much appreciated! Tea, uplifting ready or creative time always boosts my spirits on a rainy day! :o) Wishing you & yours a beautiful Easter weekend, Marilyn ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteIt is just such a gray day here, and I am going out for a while to run errands just to keep from going stir crazy! Then I'll come home, sip tea and read. At least, that's the plan!
ReplyDeleteSimilar weather here. These flowers are lovely!
