Mama Said

Mama said there would be days like this
Days with grey skies
Days with rain clouds
Days where water fell to the ground
Days where tears sat just there in the eyes
and
Days shared with a friend
Sharing the stories with sadness and JOY.
Celebrate those days, savor them, and appreciate
the days of rain and tears.
Allow the love to sit there with you and embrace it.

Happy weekend, dear friends!

  1. This is just right. Life is so often a mixture of both sadness and joy, and embracing all aspects of it makes each day all the richer. A beautiful post, Marilyn! xo

  2. If one must have rainy days they are best shared with friends. Great pix, Marilyn -- and good words to live by.

  3. Rainy days shared help mitigate the sadness. Lovely tear-stained camellia.

  4. Beautiful thoughts; admonition to embrace the happy and the sad. A person who experiences life at its fullness says both hello and good-bye.

    Thank you, Marilyn.

  5. LOVELY rain-kissed images, Marilyn! I was raining here this past weekend. April showers bring May flowers... Or so Mama said. ;o) Happy Days ((HUGS))

  6. Oh, the camellias are so beautiful even in the rain! We have a rainy Monday here, too, but the dogwood blooms are opening and the little green leaves are popping out on the trees. Yay for spring!

  7. We've been having some gray skies and rainy days here, so I appreciate the reminder to find beauty in the midst of it!
