Awesome Happy

Awesome Happy became the chant for each beach experience in Kauai.
Our little D just loved the water and digging in the sand.
When we would leave he would say, "awesome happy".
 Kalapaki Bay in Lihue
 Kalapaki Bay from the air.
Anini Beach was a bit rocky in places, but nice for snorkeling.
It was a great place for picnicking and easy access.
The water everywhere was so warm.
Pu'u Poa Beach
Queen's Bath where we had glimpses of sea turtles swimming in the waters.
Yes, there were many out there, they just didn't stay out of the water long enough to get a photo.

Waipa Beach at Hanalei

Kilauea Lighthouse
Pu'u Poa Beach just below the St. Regis Hyatt Resort in Princeville.
Beaches was one of the main things we went for and we weren't disappointed.
Even in the rain the warmth enveloped us with it's arms.

  7. Hello Marilyn,

It is truly lovely how small children with their few words and open hearts can bring such pure joy. This looks to have been an idyllic time spent together and 'awesome happy' sums it all up so perfectly.

This is a part of the world about which we know very little and have never visited. It is wonderful to see it through your camera lens. The beaches all look so unspoiled and so deserted....our idea of perfection!
