A tea pet in waiting, ready for tea.
Tea time celebration with friends is a beautiful thing.
There was food to celebrate Chinese New Year.
Shuiwen from Floating Leaves in Seattle
shares tea time with our Wuwo Tea Ceremony group.
She had 8 different new winter oolongs for us to taste.
That's a lot of tea I would say!
Each sniff and sip was better than the last one,
but in the end I brought home some of the first we tasted.
It was a lovely floral Baozhong Farmer's Choice from Taiwan.
You could say the tea was beautiful with each and every sip.
Do you find beauty around you?
Is it in the out of doors, in the cup, on your plate, in the smile of a child?
What a lovely celebration!
ReplyDeleteThat little tea pet makes me smile...I like it's charm.
I will look for one like him to join the turtle and pig that bring smiles here.
You are such a wonderful hostess. I love that about you.
ReplyDeleteIt was an awesome time!
ReplyDeleteSounds fun. I didn't know there was such a thing as a tea pet!
ReplyDeleteHmm, that's an interesting tea pet Marilyn. :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, I look for the beauty each day holds and am thankful to enjoy it.
A tea pet--I LOVE that!! My tea pet is Charlie-kitty most of the time. ;o) But I like the idea of a little lovely extra on the tea tray... BEAUTIFUL Chinese tea and celebrating! Such food...YUM! There is beauty everywhere I think. Just have to keep our eyes--and heart--open to noticing. And sometimes it's in the hard moments, when at first beauty doesn't seem to be there, that it is. :o) ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a very special time! Love all the colors on the plate!
ReplyDeleteI was very confused when I saw the tea pet. I thought (in the thumbnail) it was Joey but he looked very odd. Whew! Guess I'm the odd one! What a wonderful way to see in the new year!
