Half Dome Yosemite

The first view of this awesome National Park, Half Dome in Yosemite.
Yosemite was the first National Park in the United States.
The grandeur of this place brought tears to my eyes to stand in such beautiful creation.
El Capitan to the left and Bridalveil Falls to the right.

 Hidden behind the clouds.

Half Dome was such a symbol of Yosemite for me that seeing it was a dream come true.
The last little peek.

The view just took my breathe away.
Yosemite, a bucket list dream, finally achieved.

What is on your bucket list?

  4. Oh my - breath taking and glorious. I love the pictures so much. I have been to Yosemite and t is all you say and more . My brother-in-law was kiled and was to be married the following June - they were mountain climbers and so on the day of their weding we rented a special plane with a funnel in the floor to let ashes out. We, with his fiance' spread his ashes over Bridalveil Mountain which they planned to climb and marry there. It was a spectacular event and time.

  6. It's breathtaking Marilyn - I would find it emotional being in such a place too!
On the top of my bucket list is to visit my son and his partner in Australia - he now lives in a beautiful part of the countryside not far from Melbourne. I lived there in my single days so it will be fun retracing my steps!
I have quite a long bucket list!

  7. Wonderful places and your pics are awesome - you may want to enlarge some to frame and hang.

Happy you made another bucket list wish place dear. I would love to go back and see more of New Zealand. Portugal calls to me. Although from the UK, I have not seen some parts of England, and none of Wales. Also hope to make Ireland soon.
