Dearest friend - now that I'm feeling a lot better I read through all your posts missed whilst away - Internet was soooo slow on the ship! First, Bob and I were so sorry to learn of Jim's Mother passing away, and also your dear aunt. I'm sure those two lovely ladies are now enjoying tea in a garden of roses, "far from the madding crowd". Speaking of roses - and who doesn't talk of the most beautiful of flowers and Portland in the same breath - your pix of blooms in every hue are just lovely. I loved the post of your morning ritual too - mine is similar except right now having arrived home feeling really sick - but I'll soon be back on track hopefully! I quickly popped in at your new blog - and will visit again. It looks like a great site for anyone heading to Portland. We had quite a trip, one of the most strenuous ever! Seeing so much of Europe was delightful but being home again is always a treat.
Thanks for visiting me today and leaving your delightful comments. I treasure each one of them. Your comments will be posted very soon.

It will be awhile before we see roses here -- these are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quote... beautiful roses!
ReplyDeleteThat third image is fantastic. Makes me dream.
ReplyDeleteNow, it is no surprise that I absolutely love-love-love these rose photos (as Eloise might say).
