Heirloom Roses

Heirloom Roses in Dallas, Oregon is a short road trip
my "live-in gardener" and I take each year.
Of course we can never walk away with only pictures.
This year we added two more rose plants to the garden,
which brings the garden at our home to close to 30 roses.
We have a weakness/love for roses.
Wouldn't this be a beautiful setting for a wedding?

 I love old heirloom roses.
Do you have a weakness for roses?
Does the scent just make you swoon?
Oh the colors and varieties are many
and I want them all.
I imagine our rose garden will continue to grow.
Tomorrow I will share roses from my own home.
Now step outside and smell the roses.

  1. Lovely photos and most of my roses died this winter so I am so amazed at these beauties!

  2. That's a beautiful rose garden with the pavilion and arbour. We have two new roses this year as I do love them. One is a standard given as wedding anniversary gift and the other I bought yesterday to mark the occasion which is a French bourbon.

  4. Your garden must smell intoxicating, Marilyn. These are stunning and I'm sure you picked the two best roses in the bunch to add to your collection! It sounds like a beautiful day for both of you!
