Outdoor Bathing

Under the moonlight, I dream!
Sitting in a tub warmed by the fire, I soak.
Bubbles surround me.
Stars delight me.
The scent of roses from the garden enchant me.
The silence of the night soothes my soul.
I am a water girl.
I dream of such an experience in a tub such as this.
What could be more perfect than sitting
in a tub full of warm water and the sounds and scents of the night.
Do you hear the crickets nearby?
Are there frogs croaking out a song for you?
Can you imagine the warmth of the night?
Dream a little dream with me.

  3. You have such a beautiful way with words Marilyn. When my mother had her bathroom redone a few years back, my brother took the old claw foot tub. It sits on the deck outside his sauna, and many an hour is spent there. Find an old tub and go for it!!

  4. I could come over and help drag the tub into your spectacular greenhouse perhaps! You could soak in there in comfort - looking up at the stars, smelling the roses, and watching the plums get fat and juicy on the tree!

I love how you dream about beautiful situations dear friend. My last outdoor shower was in one of those amazing African safari camps - the most brilliant stars overhead, no crickets chirping, but lots of hippos grunting, lions calling, all somewhat nerve wracking as it was my first time there. . . . . . everything was awesome and new to me. It was fabulous!

    I'm a water girl too!

  5. I'm a water girl - love being immersed in it. But warm is important! Love the idea of bathing outdoors under the stars.

  7. Oh, I just love this, Marilyn! Moonlight bathing... in a tub by the pines... *swoon*... Maybe an owl hooting in the distance? A thermos flask of tea... Yes, please! I like Mary's suggestion of you putting a tub in your greenhouse--brilliant idea! All the moonlit soaks you'd want. ;o) Happy Days ((HUGS))

  8. Lovely, Marilyn! Although I suspect rather than bathing in the tub (I'm a shower girl) I'd fill it with flowers and park myself there looking at the beautiful colors!
