"The Chair" as we have called it for a very long time,
over 30 years in fact, was found at an estate sale.
I fell in love with the shape and just knew it could be
brought to it's glory.
Over the years it has lived with my daughter and son in a house
they rented full of cats.
Most of all it sat in our garage waiting to be rejuvenated
while moths and other vermin attacked it.
The bottom was falling to the ground, the springs were sprung,
as you can see it was a mess.
Oh my! What an amazing transformation!
ReplyDeleteSo Stylish...love your fabric choice.
ReplyDeleteAnd it looks so comfortable!
What a great looking chair! It pays to hang on to things sometimes!
ReplyDeleteHi - I love the history and the new look of that amazing chair. wow
ReplyDeleteLove, Gail
peace......
Unbelievable, Marilyn. You would never, ever know it was the same chair!
ReplyDeleteFantastic transformation!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty, amazing make-over! The chair is gorgeous! I like the neutral... and the idea that you can jazz it up with color cushions. The softness... *sigh*... Dream chair. ;o) ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with "the chair" when you first showed us - a while ago now Marilyn!
ReplyDelete'Good bones' I thought, and just look at her now - beautiful!
I'm sure she is happy with her new look - good for another thirty years or so!
Understated elegance - perfect!

Wow Marilyn! It turned out so beautiful! I would never have thought to re-upholster it, shows what imagination can do!
ReplyDeleteFabulous. That chair had great bones.
ReplyDeleteThat is an amazing transformation Marilyn - tell me you didn't do it yourself, or did you?
ReplyDeleteI guess it had good bones under all that aging fabric - love you have lightened it up and made it special again, and the pillow is perfect Does Joey like it, or is he banned to the wood bench?
Your 'new' chair is perfect! It's hard to believe it's the same chair. I have a sweet recliner that I use all the time. It needs to be recovered and I hope to have that done soon. Your chair is an inspiration! I love the fabric and the texture but I'm afraid we don't do well with light colors so I must love them from afar!
