A stop in Astoria by the sea we walked the grounds of this historic home.
Benches seemed to show up in several of my photos.
I love the image of sitting awhile to enjoy the day.
Here was a couple doing just that, enjoying the day.
It was cloudy, but overall just gorgeous!
One of many lighthouses along the Oregon coast.
Another bench to sit and dream on.
Listening to the sea and watching for whales.
Did we see them?
Not sure, but I think I saw a fin or two.
Oh I do love a winter sea.
Do you?
Yes I love a winter sea too and in the months to come I will share my winter sea photos with you Marilyn!
ReplyDeleteI imagine the whales will be migrating soon, chasing food and cooler climes.
I always enjoy a walk along the beach front or from the cliffs above.
It's never static, always movement and something happening.
Hugs
Shane
The winter sea is a dramatic one and I do enjoy it. The wide beaches and upward jutting rocks in your photos are so striking. What a lovely getaway. Astoria looks like a great place to visit.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful and dramatic looking!
ReplyDeleteThese are such dreamy photos of the seaside! It's been too long for me. But I have been to Astoria. Such a pretty town. Happy Easter to you! So glad you like my white post!
ReplyDeletegorgeous photos!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour photos capture my favorite place to be so well. The Oregon Coast is gorgeous! We lived in Astoria when our kids were very young - just a few blocks from the historic home you shared. We've been farther south on the Oregon Coast this week. It's always such a relaxing place to be.

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful area! Your photos capture such amazing mood -- the loveliness of the day and the magic of the skies. Very nice, Marilyn!
ReplyDeleteI love the sea anywhere and at any season. Especially like that misty/foggy look in the last photo. Looks like a painting!
ReplyDeleteThis just makes me aches for a few days by the ocean.
