Adventure to the Tulip Fields

Of all the tulips I visited yesterday,
this soft yellow with the blush of pink
just sang to my heart.

The wind was blowing, brrrrrr it was cold, and mud was often in my steps;
but persevered I did, as it was tulips I was here to see.
There were places to sit awhile and enjoy the view, but I trudged on.

Don't you just love a pink tractor in the tulip fields?
What little girl or boy wouldn't want to peddle around
the tulips with this sweet thing.

Everywhere you looked were beautiful colors, but I just loved this mixed field so much.
It had been years since I had visited the Wooden Shoe Tulip Fields
and visiting on a stormy day ended up being just about perfect.

I hope you find something that makes your heart sing this weekend.
Happy Weekend, dear Friends!!!

  1. Visiting you from Jeanie and so glad I did! These tulips are putting a smile on my face on a gray snowy day in CO. What a magical place to visit and dream about spring.

  6. Oh my! When I first saw this I thought, "Wait, I didn't think she was going to Holland for awhile yet!" But you don't need to -- at least not for the tulips! This is magnificent. I was sad not to see the tulip farms when I visited and now all the more so. But perhaps one day in spring, Oregon!

  7. Marilyn, what a gorgeous site. I can just imagine getting lost among the beautiful tulip fields. Such a beautiful flower in a small arrangement, can just imagine the beauty in an immense field. Thank you for your kind words to me about my flowers. What would life be without them?..Happy Weekend..Judy
