The Earl Grey Tea Rooms

It was a beautiful afternoon as we strolled through York on our last
day there.  We stopped for tea time at The Earl Grey Tea Rooms.
What could be better than tea in the garden?
Darjeeling was in the teapot.
After all the gorgeous tea times,
this was a simple, traditional English tea.
A hefty cheese and tomato sandwich,
a huge scone with cream and strawberry jam,
and sponge cake.
Every tea time we celebrated along our travels, the scones
were served with cream and strawberry jam.

On a cool day it would be pure pleasure to sit by this fireplace.
A perfect finish to our visit to York was teatime at The Earl Grey Tea Rooms.

  2. Wonderful! We love York...Our nieces went to Uni there, so were often up to visit and pick them up/take them back form home. I don't think we made it to that tea room...looks like a great place!

  3. It looks like you have really enjoyed York! Tea treats come in all shapes and flavors, it seems, but always on a three-tiered stand.
