Sheep nearby.
Peter Rabbit's garden.
It's Beatrix Potter's 150 birthday.
She was instrumental in bringing in sheep to the Lake District.
These sheep are on her property now which is part of a Land Trust.
It was springtime and the apples were in bloom.
With Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle I was dreaming of having tea by the fireplace.
How special to visit here in May and yes, I am sharing again
because after all I am celebrating her birthday today.
Happy weekend, dear friends!
Beatrix Potter is one of my favorites. I so wanted to visit that area with Brian, but that didn't work out. I have a small collection of her books and some pop-ups that I treasure. I loved looking at your photos!
ReplyDeleteDear Marilyn:

Happy Birthday! Loved the photos... so charming... and that adorable hedge hog with the tea pot - was that a souvenir?
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Beatrix!

ReplyDeleteI would love to visit Beatrix Potter's garden. I have always loved her work and hope someday to share those stories with baby KevMo! Yup, I'm going to be a granny!
