Last Sunday afternoon I sat just under one of these trees
sipping tea with friends.
It was Rose Festival time in Portland and there were many people
out enjoying this gorgeous day in the sun with roses.
There was a wedding nearby.
I just had to take a pause in sharing of the southwest to share
the beauty of the roses in Portland.
Some even enjoyed putting their toes in the fountain to cool.
The rain did return, but still their are roses in the garden.
This last picture is a rose from my garden in the rain this week.
May you have time to stop and smell the roses this weekend.
Happy weekend, dear friends!
I will return to more sharing of Santa Fe
next week. I didn't realize just how much
I enjoyed it there until I started looking back
at my pictures.
The rose from your garden is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat has to smell better than ANYTHING! And beautiful, too!
ReplyDeleteJust look at those rows and rows of roses! Heavenly!
ReplyDeleteAll those ROSES... what feast for the senses!! Was there a lot of scent?? Just love the pink rose from your garden. I adore roses, but we've had variable success with them. This spring we planted to The Fairy rose plants and we'll see how we get on with those... Happy Days ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteYou're blessed to live in an area where roses grow so well and are celebrated in such a spectacular way. The public gardens are really beautiful in June. Roses in our own gardens are special. It was our anniversary yesterday and so I always associate the flower with a June wedding and that happy occasion.
ReplyDeleteAmazing display of roses! Definitely a festival!
ReplyDeleteI missed being there! Glad that you had a lovely time.
ReplyDeleteWe've been away for a short time again and we missed the Rose Festival. I'm sure you can tell that I'm catching up again from all of the comments I'm leaving on your Southwest posts today! I love the Rose Gardens in Portland - especially this time of year. What a great place to meet for tea. We will have to head up that way soon and enjoy part of the beauty in our own 'backyard'!

Hello Marilyn, I saw your blog on Jeanie's blog. I thought I'd comment on this post, as I love roses. This rose festival is wonderful. There is a rose garden in my town, and I often take pictures of roses there. The rose in your garden in beautiful. I think roses with a few drops of water on them are even prettier. Me and my daughters also have a blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. It's nice to meet new friends. I heard Portland, Oregon was very pretty. I hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.
