Visiting my resident fairy yesterday
I was in love with her little chairs and tables.
Surrounded by flowers, feathers, and a bit of fluff.
My heart did sing.
Did you ever wear crinolines such as this?
Where would you wear a feather boa,
laces down the back,
and ribbon flower bustle?
How I love visiting here and dreaming.
Do you have a place you visit, an escape from life for a few minutes,
a place to dream awhile?
Tell me about it, what makes it feel like visiting a dream?
This is Bella Flora, fairy godmother is Elaine,
located on NE 7th just off Knott Blvd in Portland, Oregon.
Sometimes a girl just has to escape for awhile.
Don't forget the give-away mentioned last Friday.
Tomorrow is the day I draw a name.
The beach is my place to get away and dream. Unfortunately I have to wait until next summer to get out there. Love the wee table settings under glass. Very cute! Cloches are made for just about anything we can get under them. I have several myself all different sizes. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOoooo...this place!! So many sweets and pretties... Absolutely, a girl just wants/needs to be a girl and play for a while sometimes! ;) I LOVE this!! :))) At the moment I don't really have a place away from home where I go to dream. My sewing room is often my dream space as a lot of projects start there. ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteWhen I visit a tearoom, it's a "getaway" place for dreaming with friends. Since I don't get to do it often, it's a special time. I'm glad you got to visit this special place.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool place this is. I love shops like this. There is a shop in the town next over that has a lot of eclectic stuff, and it's so fun browsing in there. You know, I've been collecting fairy items in the hopes of one day making a fairy garden. Your post was enchanting, Marilyn. I really liked it. That fairy furniture is too cute. : )
