"If you are cold, tea will warm you. If you are heated, it will cool
you. If you are depressed, it will cheer you. If you are excited, it
will calm you." - William Gladstone
Note: This cup and saucer are no longer in my possession.
They have gone to a low income retirement center;
so they also can enjoy tea times together when family
comes for visits.
A lovely thing to do, with your pretty tea cup and saucer.
ReplyDeleteSadly, I have never learned to love tea. Probably that is because I have never brewed various tea leaves... One doesn't become a lover, with only tea bags, I am sure. ,-)
That quote would certainly encourage me.
Maybe some day........
Tea is that way isn't it . . . I love that copper pot, what a treasure. I am sure that the ladies at the retirement center are enjoying your generous gift, too. You're a sweetheart:)
ReplyDeletePlease pop in and visit and get your name in the hat for my 6 years of blogging anniversary Give-A-Way.
Have a lovely day.

What a wonderful quote, Marilyn. I will have to write that one down. That's so nice that this tea cup and saucer is in a retirement center now, where the elderly can enjoy a nice cup of tea. And that copper tea pot I love, it's so charming. Haven't seen one like it before.

What an inviting photo, Marilyn. There is something about copper that says warm and cozy. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a good, cheerful quote--and all very true too! LOVELY images, Marilyn... and I love that you have given your cup & sauce away to be further enjoyed by others--such a beautiful thing! :))) ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteI love the copper tea kettle and I absolutely love where the teacup and saucer are 'living' now! Such a sweet thing to do.
