A bird's nest,
Lichen on a bench,
and mushrooms were all sculptures my friend and I found along the way.
I picked up the book on Walking in Portland and found a walk
on Scouter's Mountain. It was near my friends house,
so I invited her to walk along.

All sorts of growing things along the walk.
Walking in nature with a friend is the very best way to catch
up on the news and enjoy the out of doors too.
Since I am not sharing walks on Monday's, did you think
I wasn't walking any longer?
Walking outdoors in nature is one of my favorite things to do,
so on occasion there will still be walks to share.
Let's keep on walking!
Have a great weekend, dear friends!
And if I ever find myself in your neighborhood,
who knows there might be a walk there too.
Beautiful found things!
ReplyDeleteIs that pretty lady, you or your friend?
Not much walking here. We are still in Snow Land. Thaws, but then freezes. Black ice is treacherous. Ugh....
Enjoy your walks!
That was you! As I said, pretty lady.
ReplyDeleteThe series, which I did not name, is the Agatha Raisin series. I know a *zillion* people do enjoy this series. But I did not enjoy this book. Everything 'Mrs. Raisin' is "loved" for, irritated me. -chuckle- But I pushed on, to the very end.
Not again. Life is too short and there are too many books, which I can enjoy, to plow through one, which irritates me. :-)
I am now reading an 'Inspector Gamache' book and loving it.
Such a lovely walk... you can feel the damp coming through the photos! LOVE those sculptured mushrooms! Glad you are still walking... and taking us along, Marilyn! And sooo good to see you!! :) Happy weekend ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteI am amazed at the lush and green.....and also wet too! The ferns and mosses are so lovely!
ReplyDeleteI knew you'd keep walking! This is a pretty one but I can feel the cold damp coming through my shoes! Have a splendid weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that you are still walking, Marilyn. Friends make our days special in so many ways. I just met my best friend for lunch today and we talked and talked. That little bird nest is sweet.
ReplyDeleteHave a peaceful weekend.

Walking with a friend is a great time for chatting. Fun sculptures! These days we have to walk between the rain drops, and that can get tricky. So much wet stuff! Have a wonderful weekend, Marilyn.
ReplyDeleteI recall our walk through the Portland Rose Garden Marilyn - beautiful! Walking in the woods would be lovely - I don't do that enough these days but will try to get out more soon.
ReplyDeleteYou are looking fabulous - love the long 'puffer' coat!
