Tea does our fancy aid.
Repress those vapors which the head invade
And keep the palace of the soul serene.
~Edmund Waller
The aroma of Chinese tea prevails for thousands of years;
Leaves and springs cover half the land;
Fertile soil, sweet fountains and skilled masters
Pluck your health and enhance your energy.

Marilyn, I love this vintage green tea pot. What a cute tea cup you found at Goodwill. When we had to collect tea cups for the favors at Jess' baby shower, she found many of the tea cups at Goodwill. : )

I love the shape and colour of the vintage teapot Marilyn. Your teacup was a great find. It's not so easy to find single cups like that in our charity shops, but I do look for them when out-and-about. The words of the quotes are uplifting. Have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteIt is sooo refreshing to start a week and portion of a cup with you, Marilyn... this is sooo lovely! :) ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteThis might be one of my favorites of your quotes. I love the "palace of the soul" line.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of tea "aiding fancy". Are there imaginative powers in the brew? Perhaps...
