My Heart is Heavy

My heart is heavy for all those that have lost their homes in the wildfires in California.
Some have lost lives also.
My cousin lives in the midst of this chaos and had to evacuate,
but miraculously her home was saved even though all the houses around
her's were burned to the ground.
Three friends lost their homes, one of which was a tea farmer
that lost his farm too.
All the natural beauty around them is burned to the ground.
The pictures are from here, but I am imagining their natural beauty gone
when I look at these pictures.
Please pray for those that have lost their homes
or are still in danger.
Also remember those that have been killed by mass shootings.
It is a sad world we live in these days.
Somehow healing and change must come
Sending love to our world that is suffering each day.
Sorry for writing about sadness, but my heart is heavy.

A day late, but have an extra special weekend.
Sending love to each of you.

  2. My heart is heavy too, Marilyn, with the fires raging in California right now, and also the tragedy that happened as well. It makes me sad, and I am thinking of all the people in the midst of it all, and their families. My sister-in-law is close to the area, but her house wasn't burnt down.

  3. I couldn't agree more, Marilyn. The fires, the shooting, the world situation -- it all seems so heavy these days. I wish all the best for your family.

  4. We continue to pray for those affected by such tragic events Marilyn. May you and your family be comforted and may those you know who have lost so much in the fires also receive practical help at this time. We give thanks for your cousin's situation although I'm sure she'll be deeply shocked regarding the loss of homes of her neighbours.

  5. It is so sad Marilyn, my heart breaks for all those who have lost everything, including family. I keep praying they get these fires under control soon. Also for the victims families from gun violence. When will it ever end?

  6. My heart is heavy too, Marilyn... it's just heartbreaking all the loss in California due to the fires... and all the tragedy in this broken world. The daily news breaks my heart each day... Sometimes it feels like the whole world is on fire... :( So glad your cousin & family are all right, and did not lose their home. ((HUGS))
