There is nothing a sprig of grass that shoots uninteresting to me.
~Thomas Jefferson, in a letter to Martha Jefferson Randall, 1790
The gardenhouse in winter, top picture.
Hellebore coming up in my garden right now.
Note: on Facebook I share a garden picture each day all year round.
Winter is more of a challenge, but if you look very closely you
find wonderful surprises and magic all around you.
I love the fact that the hellebore is coming! AND that you have a greenhouse!
ReplyDeleteYour greenhouse is such a delight, I admire it in your header each time I visit your blog.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful--green things growing January! Winter can yield some surprises. It seems such a quiet time, but there are surprises if we look for them. No green growing here at the moment, and we're covered in a white blanket of snow... haha! But I'm learning more and more to love the special beauty of winter. Here, sunrises and sunsets are are their most glorious. The day begun and capped with color while all else is white--yes, please! :) Happy Day, Marilyn ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteI've never had much luck with hellebores - and they are so lovely!
